The inaugural Evening of Innovation and Inspiration for the Alfred Mann Foundation was held at the Beverly Hills estate of Claude and Alfred Mann. The evening raised $1.4 million for research to advance new medical technologies, and also bestowed honors upon Dr. Steven Sample, president of the University of Southern California, and Dr. Philip Kennedy, CEO and Chief Scientist of Neural Signals, Inc.
